Improper Installation – If you or the installer did not set up the pump correctly, it would fail within a matter of minutes or hours. Unless the installation has broken the motor shaft, our technicians can repair and reinstall the pump, so it meets requirements. Depending on the extent of the failure, this could take a day or two. Clogged or Frozen Discharge Lines – Water has nowhere to go if ice, dirt or other debris block the exit pipe except back into your home. A grated cover protects the exit pipe from dirt, rocks, and leaves. If there is the threat of ice, we can replace the existing pipe with a grated discharge line that has multiple openings.
